More than 2.5 million Indians joined the platform over the past year -- a 35 per cent year-over-year (YoY) increase. If this user growth continues, GitHub predicts that users in India will match the current US GitHub developer population by 2025.

The new tool works by automatically blurring a potential nude image shared within a chat on Bumble. Users will be notified, and it is up to them to decide whether to view or block the image. "Bumble's Data Science team has written a white paper explaining the technology of Private Detector and has made an open-source version of it available on GitHub," the company said in a blogpost.

According to app developer Jawomo, DynamicSpot gives users a Dynamic Island mini multitasking feature, making it easier to access recent notifications or phone status changes. "As DynamicSpot uses Android's notification system, it is compatible with almost all apps, like messaging notification, timer apps and even music apps!" the company has mentioned on Google Play.

App developers have till July 20 to add the information to their listings. "As app developers update their functionality or change their data handling practices, they will show the latest in the apps' Data safety section," the company said in a blog post.

Taking a cue from Apple, Google is bringing out a key notification permission feature in Android 13 where apps will seek your permission before posting notifications. Apple iOS has had a similar feature for years which has been very useful for the users.

Revenue from the top 100 earning non-game subscription apps represented about 14 per cent of the $131.6 billion that consumers spent on in-app purchases last year in both non-game apps and mobile games. This was up from when the cohort represented about 11.7 per cent of total spending in 2020.
