The global launch of in-app subscriptions and channels is slated for June 15, reports The Verge. Apple had earlier said that it will launch Podcasts Subscriptions and channels in June to "ensure the best experience for creators and listeners."
Adobe updates Creative Cloud apps for Apple M1 Macs
The update indicates new features and workflow improvements across flagship desktop and mobile applications, the company said in a statement. Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom Classic are now native apps for Apple's M1 Macs and based on 3rd-party benchmark testing, Creative Cloud is on average over 80 per cent faster using the M1 system when compared to an identically configured Intel system.
Apple unveils watchOS 8, new health tools
The company said that it will let people share the data from their Health app with family members or others. In the Health app, a new Sharing tab lets users privately share their data with a trusted partner or caregiver. Meanwhile, the watchOS 8 will bring several new mindfulness features, including enhanced guided mediation, plus new data captured during sleep and additional workout modes.

Apple opens Siri for third-party devices, brands
HomeKit accessory makers can now enable "Hey Siri" in their products, allowing customers to talk to and get responses from Siri on third-party devices. Siri-enabled accessories will relay requests through HomePod or HomePod mini and will support features such as Personal Requests, Intercom, timers, and alarms.
iOS 15 brings major updates to FaceTime, notifications, messages
FaceTime will receive spatial audio and voice isolation features. Users can also share music and videos during calls during Facetime. They can also include Android users on FaceTime with a shareable link that opens the call in a browser, the company announced during its WWDC21 virtual event. Notifications will show contact photos on text notifications and bigger app icons.

The iOS 15 may see some big changes to notifications and iMessages. For notifications, the users may see different notification settings for situations like driving, working, sleeping, or even a custom category. "You will be able to flip those on as you need to. You might also be able to set automatic replies based on which notification setting you're currently using," reports The Verge.

According to the data, collected by analysing App Store visits on June 3, only 10 per cent of users with an iPhone released in the last four years are running an older version of iOS. Among them, about 8 per cent are on iOS 13, while 2 per cent are running an earlier version, AppleInsider reported. Among all devices that Apple is tracking, 85 per cent are running iOS 14. As with iPhones released in the last four years, 8 per cent are running iOS 13.
Apple employees seek flexible approach for return to office
In an email sent to employees earlier this week, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that most workers will be asked to come in to the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the option of working remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays. Apple teams that need to work in-person will join office for four-five days a week. According to The Verge, Apple employees have pushed back against this policy.
