YouTube, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.'s Google company, said the shopping features in India will focus on new revenue streams for creators and also help viewers find products from the favorite channels they watch. The YouTube Shopping affiliate program is the newest service to provide Indian creators with an exclusive avenue to diversify their income as they build a stronger relationship with their audiences.

YouTube Shopping has succeeded across the world, according to General Manager and Vice President of Shopping at YouTube Travis Katz. More than 30 billion hours of shopping-related content was watched in 2023. It is also launching the YouTube Shopping affiliate program in India, starting with Flipkart and Myntra. "We're now taking this same momentum to India with the launch of the YouTube Shopping affiliate program starting with Flipkart and Myntra," he declared while stressing very strong connections between creators and their audiences.
