Xiaomi Unveils First Locally Manufactured Smartwatch, Redmi Watch Move, in India

The Redmi Watch Move features a 1.85-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED screen with 600 nits of brightness and an always-on-display (AoD) option. It also comes with a rotating crown, enabling smooth navigation of the watch's features.

On April 21, 2025, Monday, Xiaomi launched its locally made first smartwatch, the Redmi Watch Move. The Redmi Watch Move has been made at Optiemus's factory in Noida.

The Redmi Watch Move features a 1.85-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED screen with 600 nits of brightness and an always-on-display (AoD) option. It also comes with a rotating crown, enabling smooth navigation of the watch's features.

With an IP68 rating, the Redmi Watch Move is water and dust-resistant. It has more than 140 workout modes and activity tracking features like running, and burning calories. The watch also monitors heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), stress, sleep patterns, and even menstrual cycles. Xiaomi states that without the AoD function, the Redmi Watch Move lasts up to 14 days on a single charge, and with AoD turned on, the battery will last up to 5 days.

HyperOS-powered, the Redmi Watch Move allows users to sync notes, tasks, calendar events, and get real-time weather updates.

The smartwatch features Bluetooth calling and Hindi language support as well.

Redmi Watch Move costs ₹1,999 and will be offered in four colors: Black Drift, Blue Blaze, Silver Sprint, and Gold Rush. It will be available on sale from May 1 at Mi, Flipkart, and Xiaomi's stores, and it can be pre-booked starting April 24.
