Samsung's Galaxy S24 Series Hits Record 250,000 Pre-Bookings in India

Samsung's latest flagship, the Galaxy S24 series, has achieved a remarkable milestone in India, with a record-breaking 250,000 pre-bookings within just three days of its launch. This sets a new record for the most successful Galaxy S series to date, surpassing last year's Galaxy S23 series, which took three weeks to reach the same pre-booking figure in the country.

Customers pre-booking the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24+ will receive benefits worth Rs 22,000, while those opting for the Galaxy S24 will enjoy benefits worth Rs 15,000. The official sale of the Galaxy S24 devices is set to commence on January 31.

According to Neil Shah, Vice President of Research at Counterpoint, the premium smartphone market is growing rapidly, outpacing the overall market. He predicts that Samsung's Galaxy S series will experience annual growth and increase its market share from 26% in 2023 to around 28%, competing effectively against a strong Apple presence.

The Galaxy S24 series, being 'Made in India,' introduces industry-first AI features such as Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, and Transcript Assist. Samsung Keyboard's integrated AI can translate messages in real-time in 13 languages, including Hindi. Additionally, the 'ProVisual Engine' of the Galaxy S24 series, a suite of AI-powered tools, enhances image capturing capabilities and boosts creative freedom.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response, Raju Pullan acknowledged Indian consumers as early adopters of new technology. Prabhu Ram, Head of Industry Intelligence Group at CMR, noted that the Galaxy S24 series signifies a significant shift in the smartphone landscape, emphasizing AI for more purposeful and powerful consumer experiences. He emphasized that the transformative capabilities of the Galaxy S24 series make it fundamentally distinct and valuable to consumers, providing a compelling incentive for upgrades.
