Samsung Debuts Galaxy F56 5G Featuring Exynos Chip and Gorilla Glass Victus

The South Korean electronics giant has promised long-term software support for the Galaxy F56 5G, offering six generations of Android OS updates and six years of security updates—a big gesture in the mid-range smartphone space.

Samsung has formally unveiled its new mid-range device, the Galaxy F56 5G, in India on May 8, 2025. Aimed at budget buyers, the phone boasts a slim design of merely 7.2mm.

The Galaxy F56 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ screen offering up to 1200 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz smoother refresh rate. The front and rear are covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to add strength.

The phone is fueled by the Exynos 1480 chip, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB storage. The device ships with One UI 7 based on Android 15 right out of the box. The phone has a long-lasting 5,000 mAh battery and also has 45W fast charging.

Photography users will enjoy the 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 12MP front camera for selfies. The back camera also features Portrait 2.0 and support for 2X zoom. Users can record 4K video at 30fps in 10-bit HDR, giving more color depth and sharpness.

To enhance the creativity of users even further, Samsung has incorporated AI-driven editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.

Security is another area of focus, with the phone being loaded with Samsung Knox Vault for additional safeguarding of sensitive information.

The Galaxy F56 5G will retail at ₹27,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and ₹30,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It will go on sale in two richly colored options—Green and Violet.
