POCO, known for its meteoric rise in the Indian technology market, on Thursday launched its POCO M6 Plus 5G. It ended up being a major upgrade in its M series range.
Succeeding the M6 Pro, the M6 Plus 5G comes with an upgraded design featuring premium glass and a distinctive ring flash. The device sports a 108MP triple camera offering 3X in-sensor zoom and is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen2 AE processor.
On top of that, POCO brought the Buds X1 with 40dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and customizable audio settings to heighten the listening experience. The event is sure to outclass user expectations of the tech-savvy Gen Z, who want a balance between performance and style.

The POCO M6 Plus 5G comes with a far more modern Snapdragon 4 Generation 2 AE chip, based on a much newer 4nm process, and supports faster clock speeds of up to 2.3 GHz. It has also succeeded in producing an AnTuTu benchmark score of about 460K (V10). It features faster UFS 2.2 storage and faster RAM, up to 16GB, including 8GB of virtual RAM for better multitasking performance.
Integrated with dual glass and a new ring flash, it is the first phone in its category to sport such features; it is the only 5G phone. Be only 8.32 mm in thickness, it fuses together Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and IP53 rating for water and dust resistance. With a 6.79-inch LCD sporting a 2400x1080 FHD+ resolution, the M6 Plus 5G has the largest display in its 5G category for an immersive viewing experience.
The M6 Plus 5G has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.20% and the 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate to make scrolling seamless and fluent. Besides, it is embedded with TUV Rheinland low blue light certification for eye comfort and a Fast Side fingerprint sensor to increase its security while offering added convenience.
Weighing 205g, the M6 Plus 5G would be subtle enough to carry but heftier in feel.
Its rear camera system is the sole 108MP dual setup within its category in 5G. It has 3x in-sensor zoom and uses a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor, which clicks detailed shots. Its f/1.75 aperture shows a bright view with vivid and clear snaps; 0.64 micrometre pixels and 9-in-1 Pixel Binning further give brilliant detailing to the snaps.
On top of this, this device has a 13MP front camera with an f/1.75 aperture and supports video recording in 1080p and 720p at 30fps for selfies. The Smart Night Mode strengthens low-light photos, which forms a clear image with vivid details.
The M6 Plus 5G supports 33W fast charging, accompanied by a 33W charger. In addition, there is also a solid 5030mAh battery and Smart Charging technology for optimized battery life. Besides, there is also a 3.5mm jack and a single speaker to provide quality audio.
The M6 Plus 5G runs Xiaomi HyperOS with Android 14 out of the box, thus becoming the very first POCO M series device that comes with this software. It also offers 2 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates. It also includes some connectivity options, such as dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-SIM support.
The POCO Buds X1 have Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation of 40dB for immersive listening. It comes equipped with 12.4mm Dynamic Titanium Drivers to offer rich sound with strong bass and crisp highs. This quad-mic setup comes with AI Environmental Noise Cancellation, further reinforced with Xiaomi's anti-wind noise algorithm to offer clear communication.
Get 36 hours of total playtime and 7 hours of single charge to extend your listening sessions with the Buds X1. Touch gestures can be customized, one can switch between EQ modes, and adjust the personalized EQ settings from the Xiaomi Earbuds App. It features an ergonomic design for comfort during extended use.
The Buds X1 make a claim for IP54 rating, which allows it to have dust and water splash resistance, making it quite outdoor and workout-ready. Bluetooth 5.3 will provide stable connections and low latency, while Google Fast Pair will make setup easy.
The POCO M6 Plus 5G and the POCO Buds X1 will be available in India from August 5 at 12 pm on Flipkart.
The M6 Plus 5G will come in three colours—Ice Silver, Misty Lavender, and Graphite Black—at a price of Rs 11,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant and Rs 13,499 for the 8GB+128GB variant. Launch day offers include a Rs 1,000 discount on SBI, HDFC, and ICICI Bank cards and an additional discount of Rs 500 on the 6+128GB variant.
The POCO Buds X1, inspired by natural aesthetics, are available at Rs 1,699.
