Microsoft's Copilot app has expanded its reach beyond Android and is now available for Apple iOS and iPadOS users. The app, formerly known as Bing chat, operates similarly to OpenAI’s ChatGPT mobile app.
Described as an AI-powered chat assistant, Copilot harnesses the potential of the latest OpenAI models, GPT-4 and DALL·E 3, to enhance productivity. Unlike the free version of ChatGPT that utilizes GPT-3.5, Copilot grants users access to GPT-4, the newest large language model from OpenAI, at no cost.
The iOS version of the Copilot app offers chatbot capabilities, image generation using DALL-E 3, and text drafting for emails and documents. Microsoft highlights the advanced AI functionalities of Copilot, ensuring swift, intricate, and accurate responses, along with the ability to create stunning visuals from simple text descriptions. Users can chat and create within the app, all without any charges.
Microsoft's recent rebranding of Bing Chat to Copilot aligns with its expansion efforts. Additionally, the tech giant has partnered with Suno, a leader in AI-based music creation, to integrate their capabilities into the Copilot platform.
In a recent announcement, Microsoft revealed plans to introduce several new features to its Copilot service, including the incorporation of OpenAI's latest models. This signifies the company's commitment to continuously evolve and integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into its Copilot app.
