Indeed India Head of Sales Sashi Kumar said, "Our latest hiring tracker gives an all-round view of the labour market trends. While IT remains a high-demand job, the rising interest in sales and marketing function depicts changing priorities of the employers.

The report also points to a growing concern on the issue of widening skill gaps, as 61% of the employers foresaw these gaps continuing to widen in the next couple of years with increased intensity, unless the skilling efforts are duly enhanced. But only 23% of employers currently provided customized training programs, indicating a gap between awareness and implementation.

Kumar further added, "For job seekers, this is an imperative to continuously upgrade the technical and soft skills in this ever-evolving job market."
