Elon Musk: Grok 2 AI Chatbot Poised to Surpass Expectations with Training Progress

Elon Musk, the visionary behind Tesla and SpaceX, revealed exciting news on Friday regarding the development of an AI chatbot named 'Grok 2'. Musk expressed confidence that Grok 2, currently undergoing training, will surpass all existing AI standards upon its public release.

The tech mogul also disclosed plans to introduce Grok-1.5, boasting enhanced reasoning capabilities and an expanded context length of 128,000 tokens, on X next week.

"Grok 2 is poised to outperform current AI models across the board. Currently undergoing training," Musk announced on his platform.

Among the notable enhancements in Grok-1.5 is its improved performance in coding and mathematical tasks.

"During testing, Grok-1.5 achieved remarkable scores of 50.6% on the MATH benchmark and 90% on the GSM8K benchmark, both of which cover a spectrum of math problems from grade school to high school competition level," reported xAI, Musk's AI venture.

Furthermore, it excelled with a score of 74.1% on the 'HumanEval' benchmark, evaluating its code generation and problem-solving prowess.

A key addition to Grok-1.5 is its ability to process extensive contexts of up to 128,000 tokens within its context window.

"This enhancement enables Grok to store and retrieve information from significantly longer documents, with a memory capacity sixteen times greater than the previous context length," the company explained.
