India also won ICC Test Mace twice under his captaincy. Not only for captaincy, but MS Dhoni was also famous for his batting and finishing abilities.

Blistering opening by Sachin and Sehwag gave India an excellent start. MS Dhoni, who came at number 5,  made 91 runs off 79 deliveries. His 109 runs partnership with Gautam Gambhir, who made 97 runs off 122 deliveries, helped India chase the massive total.

Dhoni finished the match in style with the massive six in the 49th over, bowled by Nuwan Kulasekara, and India lifted the world cup after 28 years.
