After some fantastic bowling from Indian bowlers, especially Jaspreet Bumara who bowled a magical spell of reverse bowling, the blues managed to clinch the match, getting a 2-1 series lead. Rohit Sharma was named as the man of the match.

India on Monday won the 4th Test match against England at The Oval stadium in England. It took India 50 years to register a win at The Oval, after winning in 1971. On Day 1, England won the toss and chose to field first. India went ahead and put a score of 191 in their first innings. Following this, England surpassed the Indian score to put 290 runs on the board. However, India came back in its second innings and put a respectable score of 466 runs on the board, setting up a 368 runs target. England started their 3rd inning on day 4 and went on to the 5th day with 71 runs on board without any loss. However, after some fantastic bowling from Indian bowlers, especially Jaspreet Bumara who bowled a magical spell of reverse bowling, the blues managed to clinch the match, getting  a 2-1 series lead. Rohit Sharma was named as the man of the match. Shardul Thakur's impressive half-centuries in both innings and 3 wickets made him a fan favorite, and Umesh Yadav's exemplary bowling towards the end sealed India’s win.
