India on Wednesday commenced the third test match against England at the Headingly Carnegie stadium. India won the toss and elected to bat first. However, things started going downhill from the first over itself when KL Rahul got caught by England wicket-keeper Jos Butler on an outswing delivery by James Anderson. Soon after this wicket, a domino effect ensued as Indian batsmen tumbled one after the other. Pujara, Rahane, and Rishabh Pant all got caught behind the wicket after the ball caressed their bat. Indian captain Virat Kohli continued his disappointing run after an exemplary ball from Anderson touched his bat and went to the keeper. England’s Craig Overton and James Anderson both took 3 wickets each while Sam Curran and Oli Robinson took two each to end India’s 1st innings at a mere total of 78. Here are how things turned out at the third test match between India and England:
Indian opener KL Rahul after scoring 1 got caught run behind by Jos Butler on the fifth ball of the first over. [1/1 (KL Rahul, 0.5 overs)]
