Sunrisers Hyderabad made it into the IPL final after they comprehensively defeated Rajasthan Royals by 36 runs in Qualifier 2 on Friday.
The final is now between SRH and Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. Asked to bat first, SRH posted a stiff 175 for nine on the board. Heinrich Klaasen smashed a 34-ball 50; Travis Head scored 34 and Rahul Tripathi, 37.
RR never got the chase going; they managed just 139 for 7 in their 20 overs with only Yashasvi Jaiswal (42) and Dhruv Jurel (56 not out) making a considerable score.
During the first innings, the pace duo of Trent Boult (3/45) and Avesh Khan (3/27) wreaked havoc, claiming three wickets each, while Sandeep Sharma (2/25) provided crucial support for SRH's bowling attack after RR won the toss and elected to bowl.
Shahbaz Ahmed (3/23) and Abhishek Sharma (2/24) led the charge for SRH with the ball, sharing five wickets between them, while Pat Cummins (1/30) and T Natarajan (1/13) also made valuable contributions with one wicket each.
