Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid Express Confidence in Kohli's Imminent Breakthrough

India's head coach, Rahul Dravid, joined skipper Rohit Sharma in strong defense for Virat Kohli amid his struggle in the T20 World Cup. Though Kohli has yet to make any telling contribution, either way, Dravid or Sharma feels that he is due for a big one because he is all about just getting it right—the aggressive intent, the record—which is what speaks in his favour.

He said that like Dravid, Kohli is also a player in whom he has full belief, especially when big games like South Africa come. Rohit reiterated that with so much experience and class, form can never be an extended problem with Virat Kohli, which is a clear indication for expecting a large contribution from him in the final.

On the collective efforts of India, Rohit said it was about the team's adaptability to challenging conditions, which he credited as a very important reason for their success. Taking cognizance of various strategies employed by his team, Rohit felt that setting and defending a competitive total against England in the semifinals was commendable. Rohit also singled out the exploits of spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel, whose disciplined bowling played a very important role in driving India to victory.

Looking ahead at the final, Rohit added that he was keeping his head cool and making good decisions throughout the course of the game. He was confident in how the team was playing at present form, having hopes of putting on another good performance so that it lands the T20 World Cup title.
