The extent of his availability for the Test series against England is yet to be determined, but quadriceps injuries typically take four to six weeks to heal based on severity.

Prasidh Krishna, a 27-year-old pacer, is currently under the care of the Karnataka team physio. As a BCCI-contracted player, he has the option to join the India 'A' support staff, who are also present in Ahmedabad for a two-day match against the touring England Lions.

Prasidh made his Test debut during India's recent tour to South Africa after recovering from a lumbar stress fracture that kept him out of action for nearly a year. However, his performance in the Test series against South Africa was subpar, managing only two wickets from as many matches with an average of 65 and an economy rate of 4.64.
