'My name is Washington, I want to go to DC':  Rishabh Pant trolls Washington Sundar in Chennai test (Watch Video)

After a delivery in the 70th over by all-rounder Washington Sundar, which was defended by England batsman Sibley, Pant in a loud voice was heard saying “Mera naam hai Washington, mereko jaana hai DC.” This translates to ‘My name is Washington, I want to go to DC.’

Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was caught on the stump mic trolling Washington Sundar on the first day of the first Test between India and England being played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

After a delivery in the 70th over by all-rounder Washington Sundar, which was defended by England batsman Sibley, Pant in a loud voice was heard saying “Mera naam hai Washington, mereko jaana hai DC.” This translates to ‘My name is Washington, I want to go to DC.’
 

These kinds of light jokes and taunts flow over on the cricket field quite frequently. However,  these specific words by Pant attracted fans’ attention and soon flooded over Twitter.

England captain Joe Root's third consecutive Test century (128 batting) and his 200-run stand with opener Dom Sibley for the third wicket helped the visitors reach 263 for three wickets at stumps on the first day of the Chennai Test.

Root became the ninth batsman to slam a century in his 100th Test.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Sibley on 87 off the last ball of the day to help India end the day on a positive note for themselves on a day that largely belonged to England.
