"We have a bit of a tight schedule with three games in quick succession after our opener," Rohit said in a BCCI video.
"There is real keenness in the group to go and do something special. That's a good way to start the second stage.
It clearly shows that everyone wants to make a difference and we take our skill sessions quite seriously,” he said.
Rohit highlighted the team's strong commitment and ambition to make an impact in the tournament. “There is something to achieve in every skill session that you do,” he noted. "Everyone is focused on improving and takes our training sessions very seriously."
Regarding the team's undefeated streak in the group stage, Rohit commented on the dressing room atmosphere, stating, "Each training session is geared towards achieving specific goals."
Reflecting on the challenges faced during the US leg of the tournament, where the team encountered unfamiliar batting conditions, Rohit expressed optimism about the Caribbean leg. “We have seen a lot of games here, we have played a lot of games here. So everyone understands what one needs to do to get the result in our favour. Everyone is looking forward and are quite excited as well at the same time,” Rohit said.
India secured victories against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA in the group stage, with their final match against Canada being canceled due to adverse weather conditions in Florida.
