Legendary Sachin Tendulkar Gives Pep Talk To Afghanistan Ahead Of Crucial Australia Encounter

Afghanistan's remarkable journey in the ongoing CWC has positioned them at the sixth spot with eight points, placing their destiny firmly within their grasp as they aim for a groundbreaking entry into the semi-finals. 

Former Indian cricketing legend and ICC Global Ambassador, Sachin Tendulkar, on Tuesday shared some inspiring words with the history-making Afghanistan cricketers ahead  of their pivotal clash against Australia in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

In this edition, Afghanistan has displayed exceptional prowess, securing victories in four of their seven matches, an impressive three of them consecutively.

Sachin Tendulkar, the cricketing icon, graced the team with his presence in Mumbai, offering words of wisdom and motivation to fuel their ambition for the unprecedented semi-final qualification.

Reflecting on this unique experience, Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan team's key player, expressed his thoughts, "It is a special moment for each and everyone. Meeting him on a very special occasion here in Wankhede, I think it's a different feeling. And definitely it's given lots of positive energy to the guys, to the team. It's a kind of dream for lots of players to meet him."
