CSK's Pathirana and Dhoni Shine, Outshining Rohit's Unbeaten 105 in Victory over MI

In a thrilling encounter between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, Matheesha Pathirana and the evergreen MS Dhoni played pivotal roles, guiding CSK to a commanding 20-run victory despite a brilliant unbeaten century by Rohit Sharma. Pathirana's impressive spell of 4 for 28 then stifled MI's chase, restricting them to 186 for six.

Rohit Sharma's heroic innings of 105 runs off 63 balls, comprising 11 fours and five sixes, stood out amidst a lack of substantial support from the rest of the MI lineup. Despite Rohit's valiant effort, CSK's bowling attack, led by Pathirana, proved too much for the defending champions.

CSK's victory not only marked their first away win of the season but also propelled them to the third position in the points table with eight points. On the other hand, MI's fourth defeat in six matches leaves them languishing at the eighth spot.
