Spiritual guru Acharya Pramod Krishnam backed his clarification that he would not let the country get divided or torn apart like this, he will not allow the cutting of the country. "We'll not let it divide…nor let them cut," declared Acharya Pramod Krishnam in a short Hindi post on X as he shared some news media report of Chief Minister Adityanath strongly pitching for unity amongst all citizens of the country.
Addressing a public rally in Agra, the Chief Minister said, "There is nothing bigger than the country. It overcomes everything. The nation can become powerful only when we stay united. Then only, we can remain safe. If we allow division among us, we will be destroyed. See the example of Bangladesh. That mistake shouldn't be repeated here."
He went on to say, "Batenge toh katenge, ek rahenge toh nek rahenge - If we get divided, we will be shredded. If we stay together, we will be safe." Adityanath made it amply clear that the only way forward was the realization of a 'Viksit Bharat' where with togetherness, the country could rise further with success and prosperity.
But his statement was flayed by the hitherto rival political parties in the state. At the forefront was Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, who stated that people in responsible positions need to think of how to reduce fear amongst the people and not to create an atmosphere that fans into the fire. Reacting to the retired cop's interview posting on social media, Yadav wrote that personal or organisation-wise, such statements are wrong.
The Chief Minister also recently questioned the silence of the Congress-led INDIA bloc on the issue of atrocities against and subjugation of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. Speaking a day earlier in Mathura, he had castigated opposition parties, wondering how they could raise so much noise on the Palestinian crisis yet remain so silent on the persecution of Hindus and the demolition of temples in violence-hit Bangladesh.
