We all will work for the nation, says Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju says after meeting Kharge

The first session of 18th Lok Sabha will commence on June 24 and continue till July 3. This session will include the swearing-in of new MPs and the election of the Speaker.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju called on Congress President and LoP in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge for pre-session discussions. Rijiju said there is continuous commitment by everyone for progress of the country.

The first session of 18th Lok Sabha will commence on June 24 and continue till July 3. This session will include the swearing-in of new MPs and the election of the Speaker.

Rijiju shared on social media that the meeting with Kharge was “pleasant,” noting that Kharge shared many personal experiences.

“I had a pleasant courtesy meeting with Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress Party President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji. He shared with me about many valuable experiences of his life. Together, we all will work for the nation,” he said on X.

Representing Arunachal Pradesh and a BJP MP, Rijiju was appointed a Cabinet Minister in the third consecutive NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, overseeing Parliamentary and Minority Affairs. His previous roles include Minister of State for Home Affairs, Minority Affairs, and Sports and Youth Affairs. In 2021, he was appointed as the Law Minister before transitioning to the Earth Sciences and Food Processing Industries Ministries.
