“Respect from customers translates to profitability and attracts top talent…If you want to invest in the long term, businesses need to achieve this,” Murthy said.

Murthy also shed light on a common practice among successful business leaders worldwide, wherein up to 75% of shares are allocated to junior employees—a practice Infosys also embraces. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of employees themselves respecting and safeguarding the company's assets, advocating for conducive conditions to retain talent in the long run.

In Murthy's perspective, while financial incentives are significant, acknowledgment of employees' abilities and respect for their contributions are paramount. Expressing optimism about Vietnam's trajectory, he predicted that Vietnam is poised to emerge as a leading developed nation in Asia, foreseeing accelerated prosperity for its people.

“In my opinion, money is not the most important thing, but human resources want respect and appreciation for their abilities,” he added.
