Regarding the mimicry incident involving MPs ousted from Parliament, Gandhi asserted his role in capturing a video of the 150 suspended MPs, emphasizing the lack of discourse on this matter and other critical issues.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi recently broke his silence on the mimicry controversy, highlighting several overlooked issues during his visit to the party headquarters for a meeting with Odisha and West Bengal leaders to discuss election preparedness.

Regarding the mimicry incident involving MPs ousted from Parliament, Gandhi asserted his role in capturing a video of the 150 suspended MPs, emphasizing the lack of discourse on this matter and other critical issues. He expressed dismay over the absence of discussions about the suspended MPs and their expulsion from Parliament.

Addressing media queries about the mimicry incident, Gandhi shared, "The media and even (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi are acknowledging my video of the MPs seated at Parliament Makar Dwar. However, discussions on caste and farmer concerns or the suspension of 150 MPs seem absent from public discourse."

He highlighted the neglected topics of the Rafale controversy and unemployment, emphasizing the need for attention to these pressing issues. Gandhi expressed disappointment over the media's focus on the mimicry incident rather than crucial national concerns.

The controversy arose when Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee mimicked Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar during a protest at Parliament's Makar Dwar. Dhankhar condemned the mimicry as "ridiculous" and "unacceptable," echoed by President Droupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister's disapproval of the MPs' behavior.

The suspension of 143 MPs since December 14 due to demands for a detailed statement on the Parliament security breach further intensified the parliamentary turmoil. Following the breach during the 21st anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack, six individuals were arrested for causing disruption in the House.
