Nitesh Rane Vows to Fight Against Love Jihad, Land Jihad, and Cow Slaughter

Rane was speaking at the Sakal Hindu Samaj rally, where he suggested that a strict law would be introduced to address forced religious conversions.

Maharashtra Ports and Fisheries Minister Nitesh Rane stated on Monday that the state is being governed by a Hindutva ideology, and the government will not tolerate "love jihad, land jihad, or cow slaughter."

Rane was speaking at the Sakal Hindu Samaj rally, where he suggested that a strict law would be introduced to address forced religious conversions.

He warned, "If a particular community does not stop engaging in love jihad, land jihad, or looking at Gau Mata with a malicious intent, the government will identify and imprison them one by one."

He continued, "We are in power, and if these individuals, who engage in love jihad, land jihad, and attack Hindu society, do not cease their activities in time, not even those in Pakistan will recognize you. Trapping Hindu girls, converting them, and murdering them—these acts will no longer be tolerated. We will enforce the strictest laws against conversions in the state, and we will not allow these activities to continue, as they did during the Maha Vikas Aghadi tenure. During that time, parents would live in fear, and some even raised slogans like 'Pakistan Zindabad,' but that will not happen anymore."

Rane further stated, "In our Hindu Rashtra, the interests of Hindus will come first."

Meanwhile, former Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and senior Congress legislator Vijay Wadettiwar criticized Rane's statement, accusing him of attempting to create divisions between communities. "Those who make baseless statements against two religions and do not respect the Constitution have no right to stay in power. The Chief Minister and the government must decide whether such a minister should continue holding a constitutional post," Wadettiwar said.

Earlier, Rane made headlines when he cast doubt on the attack on Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, questioning whether he was truly stabbed with a knife or if it was staged. "Look, Bangladeshis have entered Saif Ali Khan's house in Mumbai. Earlier, people would stand at the intersections of roads, but now they've begun entering homes. Maybe they've come to take him away, and it's good if garbage is taken away," Rane remarked. "When Saif Ali Khan came out of the hospital, I saw him and doubted whether he was actually stabbed. The way he acted and walked seemed suspicious."

Rane further claimed, "Whenever a Khan, like Shah Rukh Khan or Saif Ali Khan, is harmed, people speak up immediately. But when a Hindu actor is tortured, no one comes forward to say anything. What happened to Sushant Singh?" he questioned.

He also pointed out, "Jitendra Awhad and Supriya Sule (NCP-SP) did not express concern for Hindu actors. They only care about Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son, and Nawab Malik. Have you ever seen them worry about any Hindu artist? You should pay attention to these things."
