As a reaction to the attack, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the violence and accused the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He also accused the violence of being linked with Suman's Dalit identity, while asserting that SP was not challenging the courage of Rana Sanga.
