Digvijaya and Rahul declined to attend the Ram temple ceremony in order to increase their vote bank: Shah

Highlighting the Congress party's negligence towards the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya over several decades, Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for actualizing this long-standing aspiration and enabling the consecration of Ram Lalla's idol on January 22.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya Singh for their decision to decline an invitation to attend the consecration of Ram Lalla's idol in Ayodhya. Shah asserted that their refusal was solely motivated by vote-bank politics.

During a campaign rally in Khilchipur town under the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat, where BJP's Rodmal Nagar is contesting against former chief minister Digvijaya Singh, Shah urged voters not to forgive those who opted out of the Ayodhya idol consecration ceremony.

Shah lambasted the Congress for its prolonged retention of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that it fueled terrorism in the region and restricted citizens from hoisting the national flag. He underscored the Modi government's decisive move to revoke Article 370 on August 5, 2019, and ensure the unfurling of the national flag in Jammu and Kashmir.

Further, Shah asserted that the Modi government tackled terrorism and Naxalism by conducting surgical strikes and taking robust actions against these threats. He accused Rahul Gandhi, influenced by Singh, of including a contentious promise in the Congress manifesto to introduce personal law if the party formed the government at the Centre.

Shah questioned the public on whether they favored the reintroduction of controversial practices like instant triple talaq, which was banned by the Modi government in 2019, as proposed by the Congress. Additionally, he criticized Singh for associating the saffron color with terrorism.
