Addressing concerns about rising fertilizer prices globally, Thakur underscored the government's efforts in preventing a corresponding increase in fertilizer and urea costs domestically. He noted that the government had allocated substantial subsidies amounting to Rs 3 lakh crore to mitigate the impact.

Furthermore, Thakur highlighted the government's continuous efforts over the past three years, including the development of Nano Urea. He contrasted the expenditure on Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the UPA era, amounting to Rs 5.50 lakh crore over ten years, with the Modi government's allocation of Rs 18 lakh 39 thousand crore, which represents a more than 3.5-fold increase.
