Speaking about an incident that took place in Assam, the Home Minister stated, "Terrorists should not think that they have won the war. This war has not ended. Chun chun ke badla lenge (we will take revenge against all terrorists)."

Shah once again declared the government's resolve for the destruction of terrorist networks within India and abroad, saying, "It is our resolve to root out terrorism from every corner of this country, and we will do that." He also emphasized the global solidarity with India in its fight against terror, saying, "The entire world has united with India, standing with 140 crore Indians in this battle."

The Pahalgam attack, which took place at the Baisaran meadows, was one of the most fatal attacks since the 2019 Pulwama bombing. Worse was that the terrorists attacked tourists on religious grounds, classifying them and slaughtering them in cold blood.

After the attack, Home Minister Shah flew to Srinagar in the evening of April 22. He met the bereaved families the following day, offered tributes to the victims, and visited the ambush site where gun-wielding assailants murdered tourists after identifying their religious identity.

Several families, while speaking to the media in their interviews, described the shocking reports of their beloved ones being targeted for not being Muslims and subsequently being shot in the face point-blank.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in reaction to the attack, vowed that the terrorists who orchestrated it would be pursued to the end of the world, ensuring that they were caught and held accountable for their wrongdoings.
