AIMIM Maintains Seven Seats in Telangana, Witnesses Decline in Vote Share

Having retained these seats since 2009, AIMIM, also known as MIM, faced a challenging election with a decreased vote share of 2.22% compared to 2018.

The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) managed to secure its seven seats in the Assembly, albeit facing close contests in two of them. The party's influence in its traditional stronghold showed a slight decline, with a drop in its vote share.

Having retained these seats since 2009, AIMIM, also known as MIM, faced a challenging election with a decreased vote share of 2.22% compared to 2018. Fielding candidates in nine constituencies within Hyderabad and supporting the BRS in other regions, AIMIM gathered 5,19,379 votes across these seats, a decrease from the 5,61,091 votes received in eight segments in the previous election.
