Endgame in Pakistan-Will Imran Khan quit today to avoid a non-confidence vote?

There is context to the "informed" rumours. The mercurial Imran Khan, faced with the inevitability of the passage of a no-confidence in Parliament, rather than meekly surrendering, would like to begin his second innings with a frenzied flourish. Ballistic with his words against the Pakistani system, with the military and the corrupt politicians together in the firing line, Khan could well dream of becoming a "Ghazi"-a fearless religious warrior who has the guts and spirit to stand up for Pakistan.

Accordingly, high crude oil as well as other raw material prices are expected to unleash a domestic inflationary wave. This trend, said senior analysts, will dent growth prospects along with leading to an eventual rise in interest rates. However, fiscal end dollar selling by software majors will arrest any sharp downfall in rupee value against the USD.
Will Wang Yi's visit to India bring back focus on BRICS again?
-
China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi's low key pitstop visit to India could set the stage for bigger things -- such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Beijing to attend the Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa (BRICS). But that can only happen if China pulls back from the friction points along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh
West must stop pressurizing India against Russia on Ukraine
IANS -
For the West to build pressure on India to condemn Russia for its invasion of Ukraine as some kind of a political and moral obligation for a democracy is a brazenly manipulative exercise. If western democracies genuinely believe that all democratic countries have an obligation to band together against Russia on this issue shows how much they have become prisoners of their own rhetoric and are incapable of seeing the incongruities in their position.
