Violent Mob Attacks Police Probing Illegal Stone Mining in Haryana's Nuh

The incident allegedly occurred when the police team was transporting a JCB machine. A group of 10 to 15 people, including the sarpanch Salim, reportedly created a disturbance and managed to free the JCB machine from the police team. Currently, all the accused, including the village sarpanch and the JCB machine driver Akbar, are reportedly on the run. The police are conducting raids on their hideouts, and arrests are expected soon, according to Station House Officer Arvind Kumar.

A mob reportedly attacked a team investigating illegal stone mining, leading to the release of seized earth-moving machinery by the police, according to officials on Wednesday. An FIR has been registered against the village sarpanch and around 15 to 16 unidentified individuals under various sections, including 186 and 353 of the IPC, which include charges of obstructing public servants in the discharge of their duties and assaulting or using criminal force against them, respectively. The FIR was filed based on a complaint by Sub-Inspector Karan Singh.

The incident took place after Sub-Inspector Karan Singh, from the Haryana Enforcement Bureau, Nuh, and his team conducted a raid in Luhinga Kalan village following information about illegal stone mining late on Monday evening.
