The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will convene a meeting at Mani Ramdas Chavni in Ayodhya on Monday to deliberate on the Special Investigation Team's preliminary findings into the alleged Ram Temple donation theft and the resignations submitted by two of its trustees following the controversy.
According to the meeting agenda accessed by PTI, the session is scheduled to begin at 3 pm.
Sources said the Trust is also expected to discuss the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer to oversee the administration of the Ram Temple.
The first item on the five-point agenda, confirmed by officials on Saturday, pertains to the resignations of Trust general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra. Both, along with special invitee Gopal Rao, have been at the centre of the controversy since the alleged donation theft surfaced.
The meeting comes as two separate investigations into the allegations continue. One probe is being carried out by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), whose tenure has been extended until the end of July, while the other is being conducted by the police.
Investigators from both the SIT and the police have recorded the statements of Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao. However, no FIR has been registered against any of the three Trust functionaries so far.
Meanwhile, lawyers associated with the Faizabad Bar Association have submitted a written complaint to the police seeking the registration of an FIR against Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao.
The remaining items on the agenda include a review of the unaudited ("alekhaparikshit") income and expenditure statement, the balance sheet for the 2025-26 financial year, other financial matters and approval of the related accounts.
The meeting agenda has been issued by Trust treasurer Govind Dev Giri.
Trust president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, who had attended previous meetings virtually because of age-related health issues, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lucknow.
According to the hospital's medical bulletin issued on Friday, he is expected to be discharged within two to three days.
Mani Ramdas Chavni serves as the ashram of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das.
In the ongoing investigation, eight people named in the FIR registered following the SIT's preliminary report have been arrested.
Although all eight were initially remanded to 14 days of judicial custody until July 23, investigators later secured police custody of Avinash Shukla, one of the principal accused.
Police sources said investigators have recovered important evidence connected to the alleged donation theft from Shukla's residence in Ayodhya.
