Maha Kumbh 2025 to Attract Global Dignitaries and Military Personnel

Powerful nations' leaders - Israel, US, France, and Vietnam - also want to see one of the world's largest congregations of faith first hand. "The growing interest towards CM Yogi and his leadership in the world is palpable where international figures are visiting India to meet him," said Suresh Chandra, President Harihar Ganga Aarti Samiti.

The Ganga Aarti is a superb cultural aspect of the Maha Kumbh with deep spiritual connotations. Originating in 1997 at Prayagraj, the ritual has so far been considered an icon of India's rich spiritual heritage. This year, the Aarti will be attended by dignitaries from around the world, thereby increasing the gravity and solemnity of the ceremony.

Another example of commitment towards the environment, noted saints from Ayodhya are planting 111,000 saplings there to ensure ecological sustainability.

Swami Dilip Das Tyagi of Ram Vaidehi Temple said the sapling is the green programme that will be done during Maha Kumbh and it would combine spiritual experiences with environmental consciousness.

It is one of the biggest and most sacred festivals in Hinduism. Actually, it is met once every twelve years.

The origin of Maha Kumbh Mela has its roots deep into Hindu mythology. This is because the event provides an opportunity for devotees to be cleansed of sins and attain Moksha or liberation.

The Maha Kumbh will start on 13th January 2025 with the Paush Purnima Snan and will end on 26th February 2025 on the day of Maha Shivratri.

It is believed that bathing in the holy rivers in the Kumbh Mela can bring one moksha or liberation by removing evil karmas from life.

The 2025 Mela is scheduled to arrive with many pre-preparations, a substantial part of which is concentrating on infrastructure development and aiming for better facilities, safety, and hygiene.
