Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samiti's general secretary, Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, has declared a pledge not to consume food grain until the Gyanvapi in Varanasi is "liberated." The Sant Samiti is an organization working for the welfare of seers, Mutts, and temples. This pledge comes after the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) reportedly found evidence suggesting the presence of a large Hindu temple before the construction of the Gyanvapi Masjid in Varanasi.
