Wang Chuanfu is the founder, Chairman of BYD, a Chinese Conglomerate manufacturing company. BYD company has two major subsidiaries BYD Automobile and BYD Electronics. The company was founded in the year 1995. As of February 2023, Wang Chuanfu has $ 21.8 billion net worth according to Forbes.
Chuanfu is a Chinese chemist who started his career by working hard for many years as government researcher and in February 1995 with his efforts Wang founded his company named as BYD Company with his cousin Lu Xiangyang. In the begining, the company entered in the Chinese market as a rechargeable-battery factory. Later with wang’s great business strategies, the company started to grow and within ten years, it captured more than half of the world’s mobile-phone battery market and became the largest Chinese manufacturer of all types of rechargeable batteries.
In the year 2002, the Wang’s company acquired the Tsinchuan Automobile Co Ltd and the BYD entered in Automobile Field as BYD Automobile Company Ltd. The Automobile company also became successful and currently it is one of the largest Electric Vehicle manufacturers. In the Hurun Report’s Global Rich List 2014, Chuanfu was named at 408th place while in the year 2021, according to Forbes report, he was the 14th richest person in China.
Wang Chuanfu was born on 8th of April, 1966 in Wuwei County, Anhui. After completing his schooling, chuanfu went to Central South University to study chemistry and later he earned Master’s degree from the Beijing Non-Ferrous Research Institute.
