T.V. Narendran is the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, an Indian Multinational Steel-making company. Tata Steel is a Part of Tata Group and it was founded by Jamsetji Tata and Dorabji Tata on 26 January, 1907. Narendran was appointed as the global CEO and MD of the company on 31st of October 2017.
Narendran started his career by joining Tata Steel Company in 1988 and worked in International Trading division for 6 years out of which he spent 5 years in Dubai. From the year 1997 till 2001, Narendran worked in marketing and sales division of the company and worked hard for the development of different projects of the company. After that, for 2 years, he worked as chief of marketing & sales and played an important role in building the ‘Tata Tiscon’ brand.
In 2003, T. V. Narendran started worked as Principal Executive Officer of B. Muthuraman, the MD of Tata Steel, for 2 years. Narendra worked hard for developing the company and helped it in innovating various products. In 2013, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Tata Steel and after 4 years, he became the CEO and MD of the Company. Narendra was also the president of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
T.V. Narendran was born on 2nd of June, 1965. After Completing his schooling, he went to Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli and earned an Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. For his MBA, Narendran went to Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Narendran is married to Ruchi Narendran and they have 1 Child.
