Revathi Advaithi: Know the India-born CEO of Flex Ltd.

Revathi Advaithi is a co-chair of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Advanced Manufacturing CEO Community (2022) and joined the WEF Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders (2021). She was also named in Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list for 3 consecutive years, in 2019, 2020, and 2021. She was also recognized as one of the 'Most Powerful Women' in India in 2020 by Business Today.

Revathi Advaithi, an Indian-American business executive is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flex Ltd which is world's leading electronics contract manufacturer. She is an advocate for women in STEM and in the workplace. She has been serving as the CEO of Flex since April 2019. As of 8 May 2022, the net worth of Revathi stood at nearly $14.7 Million dollars.

Before joining Flex, Revathi held various leadership positions at Eaton and Honeywell. She began her career as a shop floor supervisor at Eaton and later joined Honeywell in 2002 where she spent 6 years in functions spanning manufacturing and supply chain. In 2008, she returned to Eaton and spent 10 years before becoming Eaton's Chief Operating Officer (COO). In February 2019, she joined Flex as CEO, with a focus on driving the next era of technology, manufacturing and supply chain. Under her leadership, Flex has shifted its focus to end-to-end customer value chain ownership, augmenting its core contract manufacturing business.

Advaithi's style of work is heavily based on driving sustainable manufacturing practices at Flex. Under her leadership, Flex made CDPs 'A list' for tackling water security and has pledged to cut company carbon emissions in half by 2030. Under her tenure, Flex was named one of the World's Most Admired Companies and recognized on the Global 500 by Fortune.

Advaithi was born on October 18, 1967 in India, to A.N.N Swamy, a chemical engineer and Visalam Swamy, a homemaker. She did her graduation in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 1990, and  earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2005. Advaithi with her family had lived in Bihar, Gujarat, Assam and finally settled in Chennai, India. In 1998, she married Jeevan Mulgund in Hutchinson, KS. Currently she lives in San Francisco and has 2 children.
