Justin Bieber: The Mesmerizing Voice

While growing up, Bieber learned to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet. He sang Ne-Yo's "So Sick" for a local singing competition in Stratford and was placed second in 2007 at the age of 12. His mother Mallette posted a video of the performance on YouTube for their family and friends to see. She continued to upload videos of Bieber singing covers of various R&B songs, and Bieber's popularity grew on the site.

“Let me love you”, “Sorry”, “Despacito (Remix)”, “What do you mean” etc…Now only one name comes to mind and that is Justin Bieber. While the brain starts tuning into the lyrics, “I used to believe…” one must know that the pop start that got stardom in his teens is a son of a mixed martial arts fighter whom he boxes with.

Born on March 1, 1994, Bieber was the only child of Jeremy Jack Bieber and Pattie Mallette who never married. His maternal grandmother and step-grandfather helped his mother in raising him. He studied at a French-language immersion elementary school in Stratford, the Jeanne Sauvé Catholic School. Bieber was spotted by Scooter Braun who accidentally clicked on Justin Bieber’s 2007’s performance video. Braun found Bieber and reached out to his mother who was reluctant to send Bieber due to Braun’s Judaism. But she let him go after being convinced by the elders. At the age of 13, he went to Atlanta, Georgia with Braun to record demo tapes. A week later, Bieber began singing for Usher. And here the magic began.

His first single “One Time” was released in 2009 on the radio while he was still recording for his debut album.  "Baby" was released from his debut album “My World 2.0” in January 2010. "Where Are Ü Now", a collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo released in 2015, marked a new era of Bieber's career, as he transitioned into EDM and moved away from teen pop. The song earned him a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

Justin Bieber is one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has received numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award, 15 American Music Awards, 20 Billboard Music Awards, two Brit Awards, a Latin Grammy Award, a record 21 MTV Europe Music Awards, and three MTV Video Music Awards.

Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2011. Forbes included in the list of the top ten most powerful celebrities in the world, in 2011, 2012, and 2013. He became the first artist to surpass 10 billion total video views on Vevo, in 2016.

Not just music, Bieber is a mastermind of various other things. He can solve a Rubix cube puzzle in less than 2 minutes. Had he not been a singer, he would become an architect. He has been in various controversies including reckless driving in his neighborhood in 2012, vandalism in Brazil in 2014. He was firstly arrested in 2014 in Miami Beach, Florida with singer Khalil, on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI), driving with an over six-month expired license, and resisting arrest without violence.
