Chander Prakash Gurnani, also known as C.P. Gurnani, is the CEO and Managing Director of multinational IT (Information Technology) Services and consulting company Tech Mahindra. Gurnani is serving as a CEO and MD at Tech Mahindra since June 2009. Tech Mahindra was founded on 24 October 1986 by Anand Mahindra.
Gurnani started his career with hard work and joined Tech Mahindra in November 2004, when the company was known as Mahindra British Telecom. In his 35 years of career span, he has worked with HCL, Hewlett Packard Limited, Perot Systems (India)Limited and HCL Corporation Ltd at leading positions. In 2016, C.P. Gurnani was also appointed as NASSCOM’s Chairman for one-year.
Chander Prakash is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in international business development, start-ups, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, He also led Tech Mahindra’s transformation journey. He has worked hard for acquisition and merger of Satyam Computer Services. Gurnani style of leadership, combined with his focus on customer experience has helped Tech Mahindra to come out as one of the leading digital IT solution providers of India.
With his efforts and enthusiasm towards work he has been honoured with many awards, Business Standard has awarded C.P. Gurnani CEO of the year for the year 2014 and in the year 2018 he was ranked at 488 of the Best CEOs In the World by CEOWORLD magazine.

Chander Prakash Gurnani was born on December 19, 1958,in Neemuch, a small town in Madhya Pradesh and spent his early life at Chittorgarh, Kota and Jaipur. As per his educational qualification, he has Degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Rourkela.
