Anil Rai Gupta is the Chairman and Managing Director of Multinational Electrical Equipment company Havells India Limited. In 2014, the managing directorship was passed on to Gupta after death of his father Late Qimat Rai Gupta who was the founder of Havells India. Havells was founded 64 years Ago in 1958 as electricals trading business. As of December 2022, Anil Rai Gupta has $ 3.8 Billion net worth, according to Forbes.
Gupta started his carrier in 1992 by joining his father’s Company and served as a non-executive director. He has supported his father for Constant 22 Years before acquiring this Position and worked hard in the business which led Havells acquisition of the European lighting company Sylvania and restructured as Havells Sylvania.
After acquiring the position of managing director Gupta work on expanding the range of company of electrical consumer durables and keep on improvising its brand recognition. Due his hard work and efforts Havells now has 14 factories and sells its products in more than 50 countries, it also has unmatched marketing distribution.
Apart from Havells India Anil Rai Gupta is one the founders of Ashoka University in Haryana. He has also written the biography of his father named as Havells: The Untold Story of Qimat Rai Gupta. Gupta is also named as Entrepreneur for the year 2019 in Forbes India .

On April 20, 1969, Anil Rai Gupta was born in Delhi. He is the son of Late Qimat Rai Gupta (Father) and Vinod Gupta (mother). Gupta completed his Schooling from St. Xavier’s School in Delhi and completed his Graduation from Sriram College of Commerce, for MBA he went to Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He is Married to Sangeeta Rai Gupta and they have two children.
