Much is kept under wraps about the film, with very little known about the subject, and it does not even have a formal title. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the film is claimed to be an "original event film."

Inspired by a story that Spielberg himself created, the script of the film is written by one of Spielberg's best friends and the writer of some of the greatest hits of Spielberg, David Koepp.
