The event drew attention due to the noticeable absence of Sonakshi’s brother, Luv. Recently, Luv addressed the situation on social media, confirming that he did not attend the wedding and hinting that his absence was due to a lack of support for the couple. However, just hours after Luv’s revelation, Shatrughan Sinha took to his social media to describe Sonakshi and Zaheer as a 'perfect match.'
On his X account (formerly Twitter), Shatrughan Sinha expressed gratitude for the blessings and warm messages received for Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding. He referred to them as a 'made for each other couple' and extended special thanks to notable figures like Arun Shourie, Yashwant Sinha, and Magsaysay Award winner Ravish Kumar for their affectionate wishes. His heartfelt message read, “Thanking everyone for their blessings love & warm congratulatory messages. Shatrughan’s supportive comments came in the wake of Luv Sinha’s candid explanation for missing his sister’s wedding. Luv tweeted, “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.” He also shared an article highlighting alleged suspicious activities involving Zaheer’s father. Despite Luv’s absence, their brother Kussh was seen enjoying the wedding festivities.
Sonakshi and Zaheer, who had been dating for seven years, chose to have a registered marriage followed by a grand reception.
