The latest episode of 'Shark Tank India' season three featured a noteworthy joint deal for the chemotherapy relief solution offered by 'Eva Scalp Cooling System', securing an investment of Rs 30 lakh from sharks Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, and Ritesh Agarwal.
Stemtech Medical Devices, founded by Raghuveer Surupa, has introduced India's first scalp cooling system for cancer care, showcasing innovation in a nation that embraces such advancements.
Raghuveer, an alumnus of IIM Ranchi, presented his brainchild on the entrepreneurial reality show, seeking a Rs 30 lakh investment for a two percent equity stake. Inspired by personal experience from his aunt's battle with ovarian cancer, Raghuveer leads Stemtech with a vision to provide solutions for cancer patients.
The flagship product, 'Eva Scalp Cooling System', recommended by oncologists, aims to help cancer patients prevent hair loss, a challenging side effect of chemotherapy. With installations in 12 hospitals across five states and 1000 successful sessions conducted in the past year, Stemtech's innovative system has garnered attention.
The deal closed with Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, and Ritesh Agarwal investing Rs 30 lakh for a 1.8 percent equity stake collectively.
Reflecting on his experience on the show, Raghuveer expressed gratitude for the opportunity provided by 'Shark Tank India', stating, "This show will give us the opportunity to raise awareness around the severity of hair loss caused by cancer treatment and the solution we provide."
