Singer-actress Selena Gomez said she looks for a "collaborative" approach to filmmaking and that she has "never wanted to be the center of attention".
The 32-year-old actress talked about her experience working with "collaborative" filmmakers, such as Jacques Audiard, who directed 'Emilia Perez'.
According to actress variety.com: "I don't ever really have wanted to be the centre of attention so I loved doing work with directors and filmmakers who are collaborative and fun. Jacques was like a little kid. He gets super excited if he feels something is just right, then lets you know, which half of the time was into language I don't understand – I appreciated, though"
Asked if Audiard, born in Paris, was speaking in French while on the set, Gomez said, "It was such a weird experience. We had translators; we had coaches; we had Jacques' interpreter. French, English, Spanish – it was the wildest combination, but he pulled it off."
She doesn't enjoy being a center of attraction. However, she's still all game to try out to be a performer as well.
She said: "I have been acting and singing my whole life, but this is all a new experience for me. I'm really proud of the choices I've made, because I go for the parts that scare me a little. That's the rush I crave."
She became a billionaire earlier this year, and she recently admitted that she feels "really proud" of her success.
Despite this, Gomez doesn't feel like success has even changed her.
Talking about being a billionaire, she said: "I don't really pay much attention. I don't think anything about me has changed. I don't think that I feel different. I think I'm just really proud. And also, personally, I just don't think it's anyone's business."
Recently, Gomez talked about Hollywood loneliness and offered a helping hand to those in need.
