Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs is facing another lawsuit for sexual assault, marking the second such allegation within a week. Joi Dickerson-Neal filed a lawsuit in New York Supreme Court, claiming that Combs drugged and assaulted her in 1991, later engaging in "revenge porn," resulting in significant and lasting injuries.
Dickerson-Neal, then a Syracuse University student, alleged being drugged during a dinner date with Combs, which rendered her unable to stand or walk independently. She accused Combs of sexually assaulting her after driving her to a music studio and then to his residence.
A spokesperson for Combs dismissed the allegations as fabricated and financially motivated, labeling them as a "money grab." The lawsuit, filed under New York's Adult Survivors Act, falls within a one-year window allowing sexual assault plaintiffs to file claims irrespective of the statute of limitations, a window that recently closed.
Several other men, including Jamie Foxx, Axl Rose, Cuba Gooding Jr., Marcellus Wiley, and Sebastian Chacon, faced similar last-minute lawsuits as the ASA deadline approached. The spokesperson criticized the timing of the lawsuit, indicating that Combs never assaulted Dickerson-Neal and mentioned entities that did not exist.
Earlier in the same week, Combs faced a lawsuit from his former girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, alleging rape and severe physical and psychological abuse. The case was settled out of court within a day of its filing.
