Bollywood sensation Sara Ali Khan celebrated the second anniversary of the romantic fantasy drama 'Atrangi Re' by penning a heartfelt note dedicated to her co-stars Akshay Kumar and Dhanush, along with director Aanand L Rai. The film, directed by Rai, unfolds the enchanting tale of Rinku (played by Sara), who falls in love with a magician named Sajjad (Akshay), while being reluctantly married to Dr. Vishu (Dhanush).
To mark the occasion, Sara shared previously unseen photos from the film's shoot, offering glimpses of her transformation into the character from Bihar. The collection of pictures captures the actress posing alongside her co-stars Akshay and Dhanush, as well as candid moments with the crew and the director.
In her Instagram post, the 28-year-old expressed gratitude, saying, "2 years to Atrangi Re… From before lockdown, in another time… Bihar was Rinkus - she was mine… So lucky that @dhanushkraja and @akshaykumar sir and I could align And make something so special, so divine…. Thank you @aanandlrai for giving us so much love & making us shine."
Sara also took to Instagram Stories to share a throwback from December 2020, highlighting the contrast with December 2021, and expressing her longing for those remarkable days. She wrote, "December 2020... On shoot.. December 2021 in your hearts... December 2023 missing this,” and “Rinku ke atrangi ways.. really missing these amazing days @aanandlrai.”
Released on December 24, 2021, 'Atrangi Re' is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Looking ahead, Sara has a lineup of exciting projects, including 'Ae Watan Mere Watan', 'Metro... In Dino', an untitled project by Jagan Shakti, and 'Murder Mubarak'.
