Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, whose superhero movie 'Deadpool & Wolverine' broke all the box-office records, is to team up again with his BFF, actor Hugh Jackman.
Ryan is working on a film, which is not Marvel-related, and will have him teaming up again with co-star Jackman and director Shawn Levy, reports 'Variety'.
He spoke about his plan while appearing on a recently conducted Variety Awards Circuit Podcast that will out next week.
He told 'Variety', "I am spending the year writing. I am writing a film for myself, Hugh (Jackman) and Shawn (Levy) to do that is not Marvel.".
Though he was not revealing much about the plot, he seemed pumped about something that is going to be really new and unexpected, and he will work on that for the next 12 months.
According to 'Variety', it is not known if the studio has greenlit a project. However, considering the massive success of 'Deadpool & Wolverine', this upcoming film is definitely going to be one of the most eagerly awaited Hollywood movies.
This would be the third film that Reynolds partners with Levy. Following the thriller 'Deadpool 3', they had previously worked together on the comedy action movie 'Free Guy, which was well-received' and on the sci-fi adventure film 'The Adam Project,' which was released in 2021.
In fact, this common ledger of box office hits has enabled them to produce quite a lot of creative chemistry, as Levy has helped to bring out the comedic energy and several memorable performances from Reynolds.
The numbers are telling enough, but just in case, the words do all the talking too. 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is a box office behemoth that has amassed an incredible $636 million within its home turf and will take the 12th slot of highest-grossing movies in history. It places it right behind Pixar's 'Inside Out 2' and ahead of Warner Bros.' summer sensation 'Barbie'.
Attention paid to Oscars can also be in store with 'Deadpool & Wolverine' vying for technical nods in areas of production design, sound and visual effects.
