Priscilla Presley, former wife of the iconic Elvis Presley, reflected on their relationship, acknowledging his infidelities while still expressing admiration for him as a person.
Their marriage spanned from 1967 to 1973, during which Priscilla observed Elvis being constantly surrounded by temptations.
"The opportunities were always there," she revealed in an interview with people.com, even when he toured in other states. Despite his flaws, Priscilla emphasized her enduring love for him, stating, "I've never stopped loving Elvis, even to this day."
Describing him as an exceptional individual with a generous heart, Priscilla acknowledged the challenges Elvis faced due to his fame. "He was Elvis Presley, and every woman pursued him," she explained empathetically.
Priscilla reminisced about first seeing Elvis on 'The Ed Sullivan Show,' where she was captivated by his charisma and talent. She recalled, "I thought, 'Who is this guy?' He was so stunning, and the way he moved—though criticized for its perceived vulgarity—captivated audiences."
Their story began when Priscilla met Elvis in Germany at the tender age of 14, where they formed a deep connection. Despite skepticism from her parents, Priscilla believed Elvis was drawn to her because she was a good listener.
"In Germany, Elvis confided in me—his fears, his hopes, the pain of losing his mother," she shared. "I was there to listen and comfort him, which formed the foundation of our bond."
