The show is the creation, writing, and executive production of Carolina Paiz, according to news portal Deadline.

The series has a working title suggesting the phrase "banana republics" -- a term often coined in the description of politicised and economically unstable states of affairs, especially among states like those in Central America.

Is it Isaac. He is going to executive produce the "Bananas" movie for MadGene Media alongside Gena Konstantinakos.

"Bananas" would mark de Armas' English-language series debut. She also stars in "Ballerina", the spin-off of "John Wick", besides "Eden" starring Vanessa Kirby, Sydney Sweeney, Jude Law and Daniel Bruhl.
